With the New Year, AFA and Our Members usher in Flock 4.0!

Dear Friends,

Happy New Year! 2023 has been a pivotal year for the American Flock Association and today, during this first week of 2024, AFA is proud to announce the launch of Flock 4.0.

Tomorrow we are making a formal, global announcement, but we wanted to give our customers and colleagues advance notice.

An initiative sponsored by AFA, Flock 4.0 is a program designed to introduce the markets we serve – and expanding markets on the horizon – to flock’s many advanced functional and technical capabilities.

Although well known for consumer goods, flocking has evolved dramatically over the past decade and is being used in innovative ways to enhance the experience and performance capabilities of a wide variety of products, particularly in the design of new electric vehicles.

As always, flocking can be counted on to provide elegance, value and “texture beyond flat” to roll goods and objects of any size. But Flock 4.0 underscores the fact that Flock can do so much more.

As part of the new era that Flock 4.0 represents, we have updated our logo and launched a new, informative, easy-to-navigate website, which you can browse here at American Flock Association (flocking.org). We have also updated our tag line, which is now “Design With Flock.” Much of this work was done in 2023 to reflect recent advances that have been taking place in our industry.

We are also publishing bi-monthly blogs in 2024 and have started ramping up our use of social media platforms such as LinkedIn. We will use both to keep you in the know about the latest innovations and happenings in our industry.

So, this year, be sure to look for our announcements. There is much more to flock than meets the eye and we look forward to keeping you informed about the innovative ways flocking can enhance your products and market share!
